A downloadable game for Windows

Project PRISM is a first-person puzzle game developed with Unity where you reflect, split, and combine colored beams to activate switches. Different switches require specific colors to be beamed onto them, and the player must use the on-screen chart showing color combinations to figure out how to create the colors they need while also reflecting the beams to their correct destinations. The player progresses through three multi-part levels of increasing complexity, with each level introducing a new mechanic to the game.

As the Game Designer, I was responsible for ideating the game’s concept with my teammates. I also created a document detailing the functions of the five main level elements: emitters and receivers (for emitting and receiving beams of light) and reflectors, splitters, and combiners. I also delegated tasks to my teammates and worked with the level designer to create levels of increasing complexity. As a Programmer, I implemented the functionality of the color beam mechanics in Unity, including the reflection, combination, and splitting of the color beams. I used a modular approach which allowed me to easily hook up different events to when one of the receivers was hit by the correctly colored beam.
